The Malady of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) – A blessing in disguise?

Well, ladies I can clearly visualize you all with a squint in your eyes doubting if you are reading it right!

I was eager to pen down the trauma I too underwent basically with an aim to share it with other women nearing their mid 40s. On the onset what is PMS all about?

We are fully aware of the must-undergo-cramps, the weakness, hot flashes, mood swings…..the list is endless indeed. As a matter of fact, the day I felt tagged into the list of my colleagues “suffering since 15-20 days with their regular and heavy bleeding and …..” I decided to dig out all the possible “home remedies” in order to face it boldly; convincing me self simultaneously of my Mamma’s words: “God does everything for good!”

Is it so truly? Phew!

My senior colleagues were kind enough to suggest all sorts of home remedies, the best of which cooled down my hotperiod flashes was a mixture of (fennel seeds)saunf+mishri(crystallized sugar lumps)+ajwain(carom seeds) which I kept devouring and trust me gals, the hot flashes did subside!!!

Leaving aside the discomfort caused, my profession being that of a full-fledged teacher at present, I perceived the positive side of the same as it enabled me to lose almost 5 kilos, a blessing indeed!!

Ever since the trauma I underwent last month I wish every female at my age knows in advance how to beat-the-blues, taking it positively, drinking plenty of water, maintaining a proper diet minus the spicy and pickled foods, eating the least at night.

Trust me, life is beautiful, make the most of it!
