Can Seed Cycling Help in Hormonal Balance and PCOS? #Periods

Seed cycling is a nutritional practice that involves consuming specific types of seeds in a cyclical pattern throughout the menstrual cycle to promote hormonal balance. The idea behind seed cycling is that certain seeds contain nutrients that can support the production and metabolism of hormones, particularly estrogen and progesterone.

The typical protocol involves consuming a combination of flax, pumpkin, sesame, and sunflower seeds during different phases of the menstrual cycle. During the first half of the cycle (days 1-14), flax and pumpkin seeds are consumed to support estrogen production. During the second half of the cycle (days 15 – 28), sesame and sunflower seeds are consumed to support progesterone production.
