How This Single Mom of 3 Kids Took Control Of Her Life Post Divorce – Sarah Parry’s Story

sarahparry

Hello, my name is Sarah Lynne Parry, and I am glad to share my story with you all on this site. I can identify with many issues covered on here and I think it is important to have help and guidance and a safe place to ask questions and gain knowledge.

I’d like to introduce myself and tell you my story –

I am 39 years old woman. I live in Wales, UK and I am a single mom of 3 kids. My marriage of 18 years broke down just under two years ago and I found myself suddenly jolted into the reality of single parenthood.

I had a full time job, working 44 hours a week (my husband did not work so I was the main earning member in the family) which I could no longer continue with as my children needed me. I was now solely responsible for my children, for school runs, holidays and after school activities and everything else they needed.

I lost my mother when I was 14 and my father lives in England, so I didn’t have a family to help me either. I was very lucky that my company agreed to reduce my hours and I was able to work part time, which meant that with a bit of help from friends, my children were safe and cared for and I could still bring some money in to my family.

I did find however, that this income was not enough to actually live on. My income just about covered the essentials but no room for emergencies, unexpected expenses, savings or luxuries of any kind. I was worried constantly about how to just keep things going!

The first year and a half of living on my own, managing single parenthood of my 3 children, was probably the most traumatic time of my entire life. I took 3 months out (signed off with depression) to try and find a way to cope with the situation. It is an awful feeling, if you are not in control and there doesn’t seem to be a way out and you are just lost!

I knew though, that for the sake of my children (and my sanity) I needed to do something. That is when I was shown an amazing opportunity by someone I worked alongside many years ago. He got in touch, quite out of the blue, to ask how things were and to tell me about a way I could make an extra income, working from home.

I was very excited. I did lot of research on the company and studied the business plan and realized that it was something I could not pass up and I decided to become a business owner. It was one of the best things to have happened! It gave me a new focus, a new mind set and a new confidence. I have goals to work towards that are for me and my children and I’m excited for the future.

My business is in the health and wellness sector (one of the fastest growing industries worldwide). Their products are natural Aloe Vera based products, not tested on animals and a joy to recommend, under the umbrella of a well-established, cash rich, global company that has provided thousands of women (and men) with the financial freedom they have always dreamt of. There really is another way!

For me, it has changed everything. I have an extra income, I have new friends.

Sarah Parry and her kidsI am my own boss and most of all I can work from home, which has been the most important aspect for me. I am now dedicated to helping others achieve their dreams for the future. No matter what you have been through and how hard things get, there is always a way forward. It is so important to stay positive. You have just one life and even though you may sometimes get dealt a bad hand, you can change the outcome and you can take control. I am always looking for like-minded people who might want to join my team and make a change, so please do get in touch if you would like some more information.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read!
